How to Plan Your Honeymoon When You Are Getting Married Abroad
By Penelope Vasiliou-Magoulianiti

Ironically, when you plan your wedding abroad, one of the most difficult questions of your wedding, \"...where shall we honeymoon...\", is answered for you.

Of course, you can jet off elsewhere, but if you\'ve chosen a Cyprus wedding, or more particularly a Ayia Napa wedding, then why would you want to leave?

Your wedding planner can help here, as they can recommend a hotel different from your guests, where you can happily transfer to and have a quiet honeymoon, if that\'s what you want.

And one of the biggest advantages with a wedding abroad honeymoon, is that you can enjoy the reception to the maximum extent. You need not really leave what is a great occasion until your first guests begin to think about retiring. So you get the best of both worlds, a great party and a great going-away time. And you only then have a short trip to your next hotel, where you can wake up relaxed and refreshed, without worrying about your next flight out from the busy airport.

Another option, when planning your wedding abroad, is to have a fortnight in say Ayia Napa, and use the first week to get into the wedding mood and make last minute arrangements, have the middle weekend for the wedding, and then spend the final week at the resort as the honeymoon. This is a very popular way of enjoying the wedding experience.

And for some couples, those with many friends on the island, or with children with them, the ability to combine the honeymoon whilst staying close to loved ones, or guests, might be the ideal way to spend their time there.

The honeymoon then becomes an integral part of the wedding experience.
